Naples-based artist Amy Moglia Heuerman will open Amy Art Gallery + Studio on Saturday, Oct. 21, at 950 First Ave. N. in the Naples Design District. Heuerman said she outgrew her original space at 10th Street South and closed it in May after four years. The location underwent a six-month floor-to-ceiling renovation of the 1,500 square-foot space to repair hurricane damage and create an environment for Heuerman’s diverse paintings, including abstracts, coastals, abstract florals and her Girls series. Heuerman significantly expanded the exhibit area by building walls that suspend from the ceiling, as well as a wall on wheels that divides her working studio from the exhibit section. The buildout includes a reception area, salon-style seating, Heuerman’s working studio and a large alcove. Approximately 50 paintings are exhibited throughout the gallery and will rotate on a continuous basis. She will host an open house from noon to 4 p.m. Oct. 21. The gallery will be open from noon until 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays and by appointment.
