Blue Waters Development Group is creating a development plan for its Victory Park development in Cape Coral, which seeks to have positive impacts on the lives of veterans. During a meet and greet with key stakeholders from nonprofit groups and other organizations representing different aspects of veterans affairs, Blue Waters revealed a collaborative venture, which will give veterans access to behavioral health services, expanded health care, workforce development and training, employment and housing opportunities. These programs will be provided on what the group is calling a life sciences and innovation campus for veterans at Victory Park, which is alongside the Veterans Healthcare Center on Diplomat Parkway. The site also will include multifamily housing, a hotel, retail and flex space for other commercial and industrial development. Near the clinic also is an Army Reserve base, employing 300 to 500 people. Hope Hospice also is across the street. The all-inclusive campus also will be built with green technologies, featuring energy savings and carbon reductions, water savings and quality improvements, planet health and resiliency as well as human health and wellness.
