Conservancy of Southwest Florida is set to open its new Environmental Studies Dormitory today. Donated by Jeannie Meg and Christopher Byron Smith, the 15,000-square-foot building will house the approximately 40 interns working on the Conservancy’s Naples campus in various programs each year. The Conservancy offers a broad range of internships including environmental education opportunities, science exploration—including sea turtle research and Burmese python research—and in the von Arx Wildlife Rehabilitation Hospital.
