Collier County’s Kensington Golf & Country Club will begin a major clubhouse renovation and expansion project in April. This latest construction project for a country club off Pine Ridge Road just east of Airport-Pulling Road has plans calling for the interior of the building to be completely gutted and replaced with an expansive lobby providing see-through views of the golf course. Additional covered dining space also will be provided, enabling the club to accommodate larger club events and private functions like weddings and nonprofit galas of up to 330 people. The kitchen is being expanded and fully updated with modern equipment. An expanded pro shop also will be added next to the clubhouse. Plans for outside the clubhouse building include a completely updated resort pool with expanded lounge spaces and food and beverage service. In addition, six new pickleball courts will be installed on the property.
