Cape Coral City Council discussed moving meetings from 4:30 p.m. to 9 a.m., and many worried this could hamper the public’s participation. The motion failed in a 4-4 vote, which was contrary to a 6-2 vote at a previous committee meeting. Council members pointed out that most municipalities have their meetings in the morning, while opponents argued that time wouldn’t work for most of our constituents, WINK News reports.
