Trinity-by-the-Cove awarded more than $139,000 to 16 organizations to address physical health and development needs in Collier County. Last year, $129,600 was awarded to 14 organizations to address needs for mental health, shelters and exceptional services.
The grants include:
$8,000 to the Alliance for Period Supplies of Southwest Florida: Supplies of period products for 264 girls and women.
$9,600 to Baby Basics of Collier County: One-year supply of diapers for 20 babies of working, low-income families.
$10,000 to Cancer Alliance Network Inc.: Gas cards and grocery cards for those struggling to make ends meet while battling cancer.
$5,000 to Easterseals Florida: Kitchen equipment and supplies for Life Skills Development classes for adults with disabilities or special needs to help them transition to independent living and employment.
$5,000 to Florida Drowning Prevention Foundation Inc.: Swim lessons for 50 children, 3 years old and younger, whose families cannot afford them.
$6,000 to Florida Lions Eye Clinic Inc.: Specialized equipment for treatment of eye conditions for underserved children and adults.
$10,000 to Healthcare Network: Layettes, insulated tote bags, bottles and diapers for low-income pregnant women enrolling in WIC (Women, Infant & Children) nutrition and education program to reduce infant mortality.
$10,000 to Lighthouse of Collier: Laptops for visually impaired to practice computer skills, white canes, and financial assistance for transportation to access services.
$10,000 to Meals of Hope: Baby Food, formula, and other supplies to serve 250 food insecure families in Immokalee at a new stationary baby pantry.
$9,125 to Naples Therapeutic Riding Center: Replace lift and purchase saddles to provide safe riding lessons for children and adults with special needs.
$10,000 to NCH Safe and Healthy Children’s Coalition of Collier County: Purchase 222 Pack ‘N Plays, providing a safe sleeping space for babies to reduce chance of Sudden Unexpected Infant Death.
$10,000 to Neighborhood Health Clinic: Help secure account software to ensure efficient operations for the clinic, which provides healthcare services to low-income working and uninsured Collier County adults.
$10,000 to Parkinson Association of Southwest Florida: Underwrite instructor and gym rent expenses to implement pilot in-person, therapeutic yoga classes.
$10,000 to Project HELP Inc.: Help fund purchase of colposcopy to enable accurate and complete diagnosis and documentation of injury during a forensic exam of a rape survivor.
$7,250 to Sunlight Home of Collier County: Cover cost of building improvements, pre- and post-natal fitness program equipment, staff training materials and office supplies to help pregnant women who are abused, trafficked and homeless.
