Collier County School Board narrowed its search for its next superintendent to two candidates, Interim Superintendent Leslie Ricciardelli or former Clay County Schools Superintendent Charles Van Zant Jr. Ricciardelli has led the Collier County Public Schools since former Superintendent Kamela Patton and the board mutually agreed to part ways in December. Ricciardelli has 23 years of experience in the district. Van Zant Jr. served as superintendent for Clay County schools from 2012 to 2016, WINK News reports.
