Estero Village Council approved adopting the ad valorem taxes for fiscal year 2023-24 at a millage rate of 0.74 mills, which is a reduction from the prior year’s rate of 0.75, making it the lowest in the region. Council voted to reduce the tax rate every year except the first year following incorporation and in 2020 due to COVID-19. It also approved a resolution adopting a $46.3 million budget for the fiscal year. The proposed budgeted expenditures include $8,971,970 for the general fund, $1,543,750 for special revenue, $35,455,903 for capital projects and $357,505 for the driving range fund.
