NEOGENOMICS ACQUIRES ONCOLOGY SERVICE PROVIDER FOR $37 MILLION

Fort Myers-based NeoGenomics Inc. (http://www.neogenomics.com/), a provider of cancer-focused genetic testing services, announced that the company has acquired the Oncology Division assets of Human Longevity Inc. for $37 million. The transaction closed Friday and was financed via available cash on hand. The Oncology Division of Human Longevity, located in San Diego, performs Next Generation Sequencing services for pharmaceutical customers. The division generated approximately $10 million in revenues in 2019 and ended the year with a backlog of approximately $15 million of signed contracts.

CHICOS’ ANNOUNCES EXECUTIVE CHANGES, UPDATES OUTLOOK

Chico’s FAS Inc. has announced that Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Todd E. Vogensen has resigned, effective Jan. 17, to accept a CFO position with another company. Jennifer Ellis, senior vice president, finance, has been appointed interim chief financial officer, effective Feb.3. The company also announced it has raised its fiscal 2019 fourth- quarter outlook, which was previously provided on Nov. 26, to reflect further improvements in the business following a strong holiday season. The company anticipates fourth-quarter total net sales and consolidated comparable sales to be approximately flat, an improvement on its previous outlook of a low single-digit decline.

NCH CEO TO SPEAK AT WAKE UP NAPLES

The Greater Naples Chamber will host Paul Hiltz, president and CEO of NCH Healthcare System, to discuss the future of health care at Wake Up Naples on Wednesday. ABWA NEAPOLITANANNOUNCES JANUARY MEETING

ABWA Neapolitan’s next chapter meeting will start at 5:15 p.m. on Jan. 28 at Hilton Naples, 5111 Tamiami Trail N. ‘DING’ DARLING ANNOUNCES SCHOLARSHIPS APPLICATION DEADLINE

The application deadline for several scholarships from the “Ding” Darling Wildlife Society-Friends of the Refuge (DDWS), ranging from $1,000 to $3,000 each, is March 31. High school seniors, college students and graduate students in or from Lee, Collier, Charlotte, Hendry and Glades counties pursuing degrees in environmental-related studies may apply. DDWS will award the scholarships at a special ceremony at the J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge on Sanibel Island in June. Music Foundation of Southwest Florida to host 20thannual benefit dinner

The Music Foundation of Southwest Florida’s 20thannual benefit dinner, “Honoring the Past, Present and Future,” is scheduled for Jan. 21, at The Helm Club at The Landings Yacht, Golf, and Tennis Club in Fort Myers. The fundraising celebration will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., during which a social hour and silent auction will be followed by dinner and performances by the foundation’s 2019 high school scholarship recipients and celebrated violinist, Reiko Niiya.
