Charity for Change celebrates 10 years

Naples-based nonprofit Charity for Change is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year with major milestones, including serving more than 52,000 children and donating more than $127,000 to 100 charities across five Florida counties and four states since its inception in 2008. The nonprofit serves 4,700 Collier County children with its weekly curriculum and 9,700 students nationwide with an expansion to Orange County, Florida for the 2018-19 school year. Unlike traditional education, the organization has a three-part focus that teaches social and emotional learning through character development, charity and community involvement, and academics. In the program, each month represents a different character trait and the curriculum for that month is designed to portray that trait. Charity for Change provides and administers its three-part education system, The Giver Program, in Florida and nationwide. For more information, visit http://www.charityforchange.org/.
