Lumb Crab Cake & Avocado was a Sizzle Dining appetizer this fall at Bayside Seafood Grill & Bar in Naples.
The 10th year of Sizzle Dining was the most successful to date with more than 105,000 meals sold. A dollar from each meal benefits the Southwest Florida chapter of Blessings in a Backpack.
“We did 105,655 total dinners sold and money raised for the charity. That includes $766 from Buck & Rider (a new seafood restaurant coming to Waterside Shops in Naples), which is not opened but they wanted to be part of our community to show that they’re here and they’re for us, so they matched the average that we sold out of all the restaurants,” said Guy Clarke, co-founder of Sizzle Dining. “In addition to that, Bone Hook Brewing doubled their donation. They gave $2 instead of $1, so their 313 total dinners sold became $626. So, those two things were instrumental in helping us get to our goal this year.”
Crispy Mahi-Mahi was a Sizzle Dining entree this fall at Bayside Seafood Grill & Bar in Naples.
A record 137 participating Southwest Florida restaurants, extending from Cape Coral to Marco Island, offered multi-course meals on special Sizzle Dining prix-fixe menus discounted from regular menu prices during the entire month of September.
