Lee County Commissioners on Tuesday voted to approve a contract for parking lot and restroom renovations at the 3,500-acre Six Mile Cypress Slough Preserve, 7751 Penzance Blvd. The project includes additional parking spaces and restriping of the parking lot, a new sidewalk and new restroom plumbing and improvements for compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. The $548,000 contract for design and construction is with Fowler Construction and Development Inc. The project is expected to take about three months to complete.
