Bonita Springs City Council on April 15 approved a contract with Quality Enterprises USA Inc. for the long-planned East Terry Street Stormwater and Multi-Use Pathway Project.
It is expected to improve the city’s stormwater resiliency, provide a multimodal pedestrian and bike pathway and environmental protection along East Terry St. from Old 41 Road east to Bonita Grande Drive, a city staff agenda item summary reads.
The city received $16.8 million U.S. Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant — Mitigation funds to help pay for the $17.8 million project.
The grant was received through Florida Commerce and Federal Highway Administration funds through the Florida Department of Transportation. Construction is expected to take 593 days after the city gives Quality Enterprises notice to proceed.
