As part of an effort to bring VERSAGYM to driveways and backyards across the South by the end of this year, the Naples-based mobile fitness business is first focusing on Texas. After introducing the concept in 2020 to Southwest Florida with co-founder and coach Carlos Garcia, VERSAGYM is looking to Garcia’s longtime friend Jaylynn Hayes to launch in Allen and Plano, Texas, near Dallas.

VERSAGYM launched as an outdoor fitness concept during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic as a safe alternative to overcrowded gyms and public places. Transported to clients’ driveways, backyards, garages or businesses in a 6-foot- wide, 12-foot-long, 5,000-pound trailer, VERSAGYM expands in less than 15 minutes into a multi-station fitness center designed for one-on-one training sessions or group classes for up to 12 people.

Workouts are tailored to meet the individual goals of clients, whether they need rehabilitation or desire to lose weight, bulk up or tone with one fee covering an entire household. Also in the trailers are water and sports drinks, as well as prepackaged healthy meals available for purchase from a registered dietician. Trainers also can supply nutrition guidance, meal plans and meal preparation advice.

Blake Cathey, VERSAGYM co-founder and sole investor, said the company is already in talks with training professionals in luxury markets in Georgia and North Carolina as well as far west as Arizona and Southern California with plans to step into the markets quickly.
