Bradanna Inc. completed construction of the new Aldi grocery store at 19951 S. Tamiami Trail in Estero months ago, but because of permitting issues with the village of Estero, the store’s opening has been delayed. Naples-based Bradanna began work this month on the U.S. 41 turn lane into the new 22,000-square-foot store, which is now targeted to open Dec. 17. Meanwhile, Naples-based BT McCarthy began demolition and construction work last month on another Aldi store in south Lee County at Springs Plaza on the southeast corner of U.S. 41 and Bonita Beach Road in Bonita Springs. That 25,000-square-foot store is targeted to open in 2021 in the space of a former Bealls Outlet store at 8951 Bonita Beach Road.
