(The Center Square) – At least two students have been shot at Evergreen High School, which is nestled in the foothills about 30 miles west of Denver.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the incident Wednesday afternoon, stating the students were en-route to the hospital.

ATF Denver and FBI Denver both released statements that they have personnel responding to the scene.

In 2024, Evergreen High School had about 900 students grades 9-12 enrolled in it.

No other details have yet been released about the shooting.
