Smallcakes Cupcakes and Cookies celebrates its grand opening today in North Naples. Naples residents Jessica and Michael Christiansen launched their new local bakery next to Moura Bistro in Meridian Marketplace on the northeast corner of Pine Ridge and Livingston roads. Gourmet cookies, cupcakes and full-size cakes will be baked fresh daily on site. The business offers a dozen signature cake flavors, such as birthday cake, chocoholic, lemon drop, pink vanilla and red velvet, with at least two other options it rotates weekly from a list of 200 choices. It also always features warm chocolate chip and sugar cookies with two other specialty flavors weekly. Gluten-free cupcakes are available on Fridays. Patrons also may order dairy-free, gluten-free and vegan specialty cakes online with a three-day notice for pickup. Local delivery and catering also are available. Smallcakes, 3369 Pine Ridge Road, is open 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and closed Sunday. To place orders, call 941-479-1711.
