Lee Health has selected Studio+ and Skanska as its qualifying architect and general contractor for a 12-bed intensive care unit expansion at Cape Coral Hospital. The addition consists of an 11,000-square-foot vertical expansion that connects to the north tower wing. Studio+ and Principal Christopher Ressler have a 10-year working relationship with Lee Health. Ressler and Studio+ Project Manager and Architect Marcia Lester will lead the architectural and engineering team, including Smith Seckman Reid Inc. and Consor Engineering. The design team has worked on more than 70 projects at Cape Coral Hospital in the last 10 years, including updates to its existing ICU suite, which is close to 30 years old. Lee Health plans to have the new addition complete by April 2023.
