SOCE FLATS SELLS OUT IN OLD NAPLES

Waterside Builders announces the completion and sellout of SoCe Flats, new luxury, mixed-use hotel residences in Old Naples. As the co-developer and general contractor for the project, Waterside Builders and its team of professionals delivered 18 residential units, full amenity space and first-floor commercial units. Waterside Builders collaborated with MHK Architecture and PlanningCompass Real Estate and Clive Daniel Home for the project. SoCe Flats residences range from 608 square feet to 1,132 square feet. Amenities include a third-floor, rooftop outdoor enjoyment area, an elevated spa with views of downtown and the beach, dining and lounging area, outdoor grilling station with refrigeration and prep area, televisions and barstool seating. SoCe Flats also offers an app for residents and four universal car charging spots. Concierge services will be offered through Holiday Life.

NEW MODELS OPEN AT HAMPTON LAKES

Pulte Homes has revealed eight new home designs for Hampton Lakes, a gated neighborhood within the 1,500-acre master-planned River Hall community in Alva. Two of the home designs have come to life in new model homes now open for touring. Offering 1,662 to more than 4,000 square feet of living space, the available home designs offer two to six bedrooms, up to five-and-a-half baths, flex rooms and opportunities for second-floor lofts. Optional pools and spas can enhance the outdoor living experience. Hampton Lakes floor plans from Pulte Homes start from the mid-$200,000s.

 

SIENA LAKES CONTINUING CARE RETIREMENT COMMUNITY OPENS FIRST PHASE

The grand opening of Siena Lakes continuing care retirement community will be celebrated with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting this morning in North Naples. Managed and developed by Baltimore-based Erickson Senior Living, the new community’s 35-acre campus is on Orange Blossom Drive between Airport-Pulling and Livingston roads. Siena Lakes helps meet the demand for senior housing in North Naples and provides significant local economic benefits, Erickson says. In addition to offering spacious apartment homes and amenities, Siena Lakes will create 250 career opportunities and is anticipated to generate millions in regional economic activity each year, including tax revenues from property and sales, the company reports. Already reserved are 75% of the 355 planned one-level independent living apartment homes in its first and second phases. The second phase is still being built by Kaufman Lynn Construction

 

FINN FARMS BEGINS PRODUCTION AT BABCOCK RANCH

Finn Farms, a one-of-a-kind prototype greenhouse in Babcock Ranch, is negotiating with buyers to start selling its produce. Its goal is to naturally grow produce year-round without fighting Florida’s humidity while using 95% less water than traditional agriculture. The $13 million greenhouse uses recycled rainwater and condensation from the plants. The greenhouse is about the size of a soccer field and can seed 60,000 plants a day and produce 1.5 million pounds of greens a year. That’s the same as 60 acres of open-field farming. Most of the plants, which grow on 300-foot tables, are harvested in less than 30 days. The second phase of the project is expected to double the size of Finn Farms and include vertical farming, WINK News reports.

Texas-based Youngquist Industrial Park and Gulfcoast Industrial Campus, a Youngquist Brothers development in Fort Myers, were sold to SFG Acquisitions LLC for $79.5 million. Gary Tasman & Shawn Stoneburner of Cushman & Wakefield | Commercial Property Southwest Florida represented the buyer and the seller in negotiating the transactions.

 

BONITA SPRINGS MOBILE HOME PARK PURCHASED FOR $1.69 MILLION

Premier Investments of Naples LLC purchased a 1.08-acre mobile home park at 2770 Simmons Lane, Bonita Springs, from Gary L Murphy Living Trust for $1.69 million. Michael Mahan & Thomas Webb CCIM, MSRE of Lee & Associates | Naples-Ft. Myers represented the seller. Biagio Bernardo & Bill Young of Lee & Associates | Naples-Ft. Myers represented the buyer in the transaction.

 

NAPLES OFFICE SPACE SELLS FOR $1.35 MILLION

791 Tenth St South #302 LLC and RDA Consulting Engineers LLC purchased approximately 3,500 square feet of office space from 791 10th Street South #302, LLC located at 791 10th St. S., Suite 302, Naples, for $1.35 million. NAPLES RETAIL BUILDING BOUGHT FOR $1.3 MILLION

Buckingham Property Management purchased a 3,554-square-foot retail building at 3771 Tamiami Trail E., Naples, from 3771 TTE LLC for $1.3 million. Dave Wallace, CCIM, SIOR and David Wallace of CRE Consultants negotiated the transaction.

 

LABELLE AGRICULTURAL PROPERTY ACQUIRED FOR $1.25 MILLION

LSI Companies Inc. brokered an approximately 263-acre agricultural property at Bonneville Street and Fort Center Avenue in Labelle for $1.25 million. Palm & Sod LLC acquired the property from Justin and Jennifer Hood. Hunter Ward, CCIM and Williams Rollins, CCIM, ALC of LSI Companies Inc. brokered the deal.

CONSTRUCTION STARTS ON NEW CAPE CORAL FIRE STATION

Wright Construction Group Inc. broke ground on the new Cape Coral Fire Station No. 12, located at 2129 Chiquita Blvd., Cape Coral, on June 10. The 10,559-square-foot, Level E facility will be built to withstand Category 5 hurricanes. In addition to housing firefighters, EMTs, paramedics and various firefighting equipment, the station will be used to provide shelter and backup resources to the residents of Cape Coral in case of emergency. The $4.5 million project features three apparatus bays more than 77 feet in length and eight bunk rooms. The building is reinforced with durable concrete, steel trusses, an aluminum roof, and a backup generator. This is the third fire station Wright Construction Group Inc. has been hired for as the construction manager for the city of Cape Coral as the fire department continues to expand its resources and improve response times for the growing population.

 

STUDIO+ TO DESIGN OAKES FARM’S IMMOKALEE FRESH CUTS PRODUCE FACILITY

Immokalee Fresh Cuts, an affiliate of Oakes Farms, intends to construct a new packing facility to process produce. The building, designed by Fort Myers-based Studio+, is preliminarily sized at approximately 60,000 square feet and will be located at the intersection of New Harvest Road and E. Main Street in Immokalee. The site is adjacent to an existing Oakes Farms facility in Immokalee and will feature loading docks, offices, breakrooms and refrigerated processing rooms. The team includes architecture firm Studio+ and Gulfpoint Construction as general contractor and construction manager for the project.

 

FL STAR RECEIVES CONTRACT FOR PROVIDENT JEWELRY EXPANSION

FL Star Construction, a division of FL Star, has been awarded the contract for the expansion and renovation of Provident Jewelry on Fifth Avenue South in Naples. The renovation will add 2,310 square feet to the current Provident Jewelry facility, creating a grand showroom, lounge area, private lounges, offices, private salesroom and staff facilities comprising 5,093 square feet. Originally established on Florida’s east coast, Provident Jewelry currently has locations in West Palm Beach, Jupiter, Palm Beach, Wellington, Fort Myers and Naples.

 

 

GOODWILL RELOCATES TO FORMER SEARS & ROEBUCKS IN DOWNTOWN FORT MYERS

Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida is relocating its Goodwill boutique to former the downtown Sears & Roebucks store. “The larger footprint will allow us to add an art gallery and a fun book department, which will be a nice addition to our current selection of apparel,” John Nadeau, Goodwill SWFL CEO and president, says. Rebranded as “blue,” the Goodwill boutique is moving into the corner of the Bradford Block (previously RE/MAX real estate) and set for a ribbon-cutting ceremony tentatively set for 5 p.m. July 2, during the next Fort Myers Art Walk. Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida is a nonprofit organization committed to serving people with disabilities and disadvantages by providing life-changing opportunities toward independence.  

 

TESLA PROPOSES SERVICE CENTER, SHOWROOM AT FORMER TOYS R US STORE IN NAPLES

Tesla sales and service center has been proposed to replace the former Toys R Us store at Bed Bath & Beyond Plaza on the northwest corner of Airport-Pulling and Pine Ridge roads in North Naples. A state-of-the-art Tesla Service Plus concept for the luxury electric car company would fill the 30,585-square-foot store the toy retailer vacated three years ago at 5305 Airport-Pulling Road N., development plans show. A construction timeline and target opening date are not available yet. Tesla Motors’ proposed new service center would be about 2 miles away from the showroom the California-based company opened in December 2016 at Waterside Shops in Naples.

 

MK ARCHITECTURE TO SERVICE SALON BELLEZZA EXPANSION

MK Architecture has been awarded the design services for relocating and expanding Salon Bellezza in Naples. The new, 2,985-square-foot salon will be located at Founders Square in Naples. It will feature 12 styling stations in an atrium environment, a makeup lounge, nail and pedicure stations, treatment rooms, and a hair and makeup retail sales area. The project is expected to start construction by late summer.

CBIA’S SAND DOLLAR AWARDS CEREMONY SET FOR SEPT. 25

The 2021 Sand Dollar Awards Gala, “The Wind Beneath Our Wings,” is set for Sept. 25 at The Ritz-Carlton, Naples beach resort. The black-tie optional event will begin with a 6 p.m. cocktail hour, followed by dinner and the awards ceremony at 7 p.m. Sand Dollar Award registration is now open through July 11 for 51 awards in the categories of product design, interior design, remodeling, commercial, marketing and sales. The Sand Dollar Award represents the highest accolades given by the Collier Building Industry Association and its Sales and Marketing Council annually. Sand Dollar Awards are presented to member builders, developers, architects, remodelers, interior design firms, landscape architects, trades, marketing, sales, and advertising professionals who have demonstrated building, design and marketing excellence throughout Collier County.

Nathalie White

SchenkelShultz Architecture has added Nathalie White as a designer in the firm’s Fort Myers office. In this role, White will serve as a key member of the design team and spearhead the firm’s engagement in the Southwest Florida community. With more than 10 years of experience, White has been a team member on SchenkelShultz’s current work at the Naples Airport and the new Estero Fire Station No. 45, a 19,200-square-foot facility scheduled to open in 2022. White comes to SchenkelShultz with experience in the hospitality, luxury residential, civic and healthcare markets. She served as a member of the architecture teams for Fort Myers-area projects, including Amavida Living, Skilled Nursing Unit at Gulf Coast Medical Center, and FineMark National Bank & Trust headquarters. White earned a Bachelor of Design in architecture from the University of Florida and is a current member of the Real Estate Investment Society (REIS) of Southwest Florida.
