International visitors to Collier County in June were up, reversing a downward trend due to ongoing political and economic challenges.

At the August meeting of the Tourist Development Council, Joseph St. Germain of Downs & St. Germain Research said June was the first time the county has seen year-over-year increases in international visitation since January 2025, up 10.8%, with Canada up 16.3%.

Domestic visitation was up 9.7% year over year, and the three-month forecast from hotels and vacation rentals is cautiously optimistic.

“It’s not ‘start a parade’ yet, but overall, it looks pretty positive year over year as we look at the next three months,” St. Germain said.
