Four branch offices recently closed in Southwest Florida since the Truist bank merger in December 2019. All of the closures have been related to Truist’s blended branch program between the merged BB&T and SunTrust banks, said Amber Odom, corporate communications manager for Truist, based in Charlotte, North Carolina. The receiving branch for each closure remained open without disruption of service and began serving clients of both heritage BB&T and SunTrust banksOdom saidHere are the local branches that closed Dec. 8 and their receiving branches: 

 

  • BB&T Cape Coral Parkway branch at 1621 Cape Coral Parkway W., Cape Coral (The receiving blended branch is the SunTrust Chiquita Branch at 1533 Cape Coral Parkway W.) 
  • BB&T Pebblebrooke branch at 15285 Collier Blvd., North Naples (The receiving blended branch is the SunTrust Pebblebrooke branch at 15225 Collier Blvd.) 

  • SunTrust Coralwood Mall branch at 2139 Del Prado Blvd., Cape Coral (The receiving blended branch is the BB&T Del Prado branch at 2223 Del Prado Blvd. S.) 

  • SunTrust Naples Boulevard branch at 5795 AirportPulling Road N., North Naples (The receiving blended branch is the Pine Ridge branch at 5475 AirportPulling Road N.)
