Turco Taco co-owners Yavuz “Oz” Ozturk and Ivo Milanoski are introducing Simit Fresh Mediterranean, a new local dining spot for Turkish street food this fall in East Naples. The new restaurant will replace Two Guys Kitchen & Catering at 1230 Airport-Pulling Road N. in River Reach Plaza. Simit is a popular Turkish bread ring similar to a bagel served with spreads such as hummus or baba ganoush, said Ozturk, an immigrant from Turkey. Simit will have a small, fast-casual menu for quick, healthy lunches, especially catering to local businesses in the nearby industrial park area, the Naples Airport or Collier County offices. The remodeled restaurant will have 30 to 40 seats for dining in and will also provide takeout, delivery and even drive-thru pickup. Its upgraded kitchen also will serve as a commissary for Turco Taco.
