Aldi will open its Immokalee store Sept. 24, restoring a full-service grocery option nearly a year after the community’s only supermarket closed. The store replaces the former Winn-Dixie at 1602 Lake Trafford Road, near State Road 29. Winn-Dixie closed in October 2025 as part of Aldi’s acquisition and conversion of stores from Southeastern Grocers, leaving residents to travel outside Immokalee for a full-service supermarket. Collier County temporarily offered bus trips to Publix stores, but discontinued the service because of low ridership. Aldi will hold a ribbon cutting at 8:30 a.m. Sept. 24 and operate daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
