Ronald A. Dente Jr.
Fort Myers has filled two key leadership positions following the retirements of longtime city officials. City Council approved an employment agreement with Ronald A. Dente Jr. as city attorney, while Lilliana Baker was sworn in as city clerk Sept. 21. Dente, who succeeds Grant W. Alley, has worked for the city since 2019 and has nearly 30 years of legal experience. He has served as deputy city attorney since 2024. Baker succeeds Mary Hagemann and has worked for Fort Myers for eight years. She brings more than 17 years of experience in local and federal government, nonprofit organizations and higher education.
