Immokalee Fair Housing Alliance is preparing to open the fourth building in its affordable housing development at 2070 Corazon de la Comunidad Circle in Immokalee, adding 16 units for local families in December. Three buildings with 48 units are complete and occupied, while a fifth is under construction and expected to be finished in spring 2027. The nonprofit ultimately plans 128 affordable units. Demand remains high, with more than 100 families on the waiting list. Applications for the fourth building opened Sept. 1. The development’s community center also has opened, offering financial, legal, educational and healthcare resources. The community currently houses 48 families and nearly 100 children.
