Suncoast Credit Union gives $316,500 to Lee County schools

Suncoast Credit Union is providing $316,500 in annual grant funding to the School District of Lee County to expand student programs. The funding will support academic and arts activities including the Lee County Spelling Bee, Art Walk, a student film and television competition and the Young People’s Concert at the Gulf Coast Symphony Orchestra. The grant also will help fund five pre-K classrooms across the district and expand enrichment opportunities in Career and Technical Education, JROTC and Adult Education. Suncoast Credit Union Foundation has donated more than $68 million to organizations and initiatives supporting children’s education, health and emotional well-being since 1990.
