A local franchisee for I Heart Mac & Cheese and More plans to launch the growing chain’s first location in Southwest Florida this fall in The Pointe at Founders Square on the southeast corner of Immokalee Road and Collier Boulevard. Alfonso Olivos, a Naples native who works full-time in banking and finance, is excited about opening his first restaurant at The Pointe, which will be a foodie destination of sorts with six or more other restaurants. “I never in a billion years thought I’d be in the food business,” says Olivos, who plans to keep his day job while investing in the restaurant franchise. I Heart Mac & Cheese, based in Boca Raton, features build-your-own and signature variations of mac n’ cheese bowls and grilled cheese sandwiches. Olivos has franchise rights for all of Collier County and first-refusal rights for Estero and Bonita Springs, he said.
