Dogwood Animal Clinic opens new Port Charlotte facility

Dogwood Animal Clinic has relocated to a new 3,500-square-foot facility at 19145 Peachland Blvd. in Port Charlotte. Built by Stevens Construction, the clinic includes expanded examination, surgical and treatment areas.

When Dr. Nathanael Hilzinger decided to move his Port Charlotte animal clinic from a rented facility near U.S. 41 and Tarpon Boulevard into a building of his own, he hired Stevens Construction Inc. to bring his vision to life.

Hilzinger has practiced veterinary medicine in Port Charlotte since 2019, specializing in the care of cats and dogs.

Stevens Construction completed the 3,500-square-foot Dogwood Animal Clinic in 11 months. The clinic opened in July at 19145 Peachland Blvd.

The new facility includes three examination rooms, an operating room, an X-ray room, separate dog and cat wards, a treatment area, laboratory, pharmacy, laundry room, storage areas and administrative offices.
